First Encounter Voucher

To reduce the financial burden of early childhood upbringing, a First Encounter Voucher of at least KRW 2,000,000 is provided to newborns.

  • 01Eligibility

    • Newborns who have been properly registered with a resident registration number

      (born within one year from the resident registration date)

    • Baby furniture
    • Born after 22 years

  • 02Benefits

    • (Support Amount) A voucher of at least KRW 2,000,000 per newborn

      -For children born on or after January 1, 2024, KRW 2,000,000 is provided for the first child and KRW 3,000,000 for each additional child.

    • (Usage Scope) It can be used in all industries except those that deviate from the purpose of issuance, such as entertainment and gambling sectors (including online purchases).

    • (In-Person Application) Guardians or their representatives can apply at the administrative welfare center of the child's registered address (eup, myeon, dong).

    • Obtain a National Happiness Card and freely purchase items that can be bought with support funds at stores where payments can be made using government support funds.

    • The balance displayed on the Social Service Electronic Voucher website is not real-time. Please check with your card issuer for an accurate balance and usage history.

      • BC Card Paybook (app) > Select 'All' from the bottom menu > Under the 'My Benefits' menu, select 'MY Voucher' > If the customer has applied for the First Encounter Voucher with BC Card, the balance can be checked.
